Product description

Bitumen for road paving and asphalt applications.

Bitumen PEN 35/50 is a standard penetration grade bitumen usually used in road construction for the construction of conventional pavements built with hot asphalt. Bitumen PEN 35/50 is mainly used in asphalt plants for the continuous and discontinuous production of base mixes present in the foundation layers (road base asphalt) as in the surface layers (bituminous concrete, thin coated or draining asphalt mixes).

The use of Bitumen PEN 35/50 in classic asphalt mix with similar quantity gives better resilience to the rutting.

Bitumen PEN 35/50 is manufactured in refinery from fractional distillation of crude oil specially selected for bitumen applications and certified by an external laboratory all along the supply chain.

As all the Penetration Grade bitumen, Bitumen PEN 35/50 is designated by its penetration range and specified by the penetration and softening point test.
